nope xp pro got mine off ebay, seller didnt even make me prove i had kids, all sealed up propper box.

i no it does, but only wanna use it to get a network for my xbox, so just wondering if any1 has any keys for xp or a copy of 2000 they dont want??? cheers

I used to work for Microsoft & the opperating system i.e. Windows is always cheaper than an Office package, as way more development goes into the Office product as its huge, look how much hard drive space it uses as opposed to Windows which in reality doesn't use that much, although every new vetrion that comes out is bigger than the last because they essentailly dumb it down on every release as the home market grows by putting everything at the front of the system so people can access it easier as most things can be done on most packages, it just knowing where to look if you follow my thinkning. A very stable package is Windows 2000Pro which has everything you'll ever need for the time being, ME avoid, XP looks nice has a CD burner wooo, uses more hard drive space than it should, plus has the annoyance of if your into changing hardware devices can through a wobbly & not let you reboot, though I'm sure thats fixed now in the 2 years since I left.

There are plenty old stock 2000 out there, just takes time to find, eBay or there are some sites that have downloadable ones, I don't know which ones but my mates always seem to find them no problem.

It's taken me about three months to batter XP Pro into submission so that everything looks and works how I want it, as opposed to how Micros**t think it should be. It's got a dodgy copy that works fine but I had to download a keygen crack to get service pack 2 installed. I'll PM you the address to download keygen as you might be able to unlock your XP with that.

SP2 sucks... it caused havoc on our school network.

I find XP OK, but I can't run Windowblinds and Litestep on it without conflicts occurring with every other MS program.

Most P2P programs will have numerous keygens available, some of which actually work.

i have tried 10 keys off kegen,,, it still says that it is wrong,, any1 please tell me the best key to unlock???

Anything microsoft brings out is crap, things normally settle down after a number of service packs have been released to fix all the bugs, go for Linux or Mac OS much better imho

True, but having worked for Microsoft they don't care about the individual end user, its companies that they care about when it comes to piracy. In a company of say 100pc's its very easy to transfer the programs from one to another (peer-to-peer) as companies buy licenses like Open to cover x amount of desktops and then get one bundle of software to download over the network, but if they maybe only buy an Open license to cover 50 desk tops for Office as they considered at that time only 50 people needed it, then some says they want & so on & so forth, or the company expands its very easy to become under licensed & into the traps of Microsoft, you see what people rarely understand is you do not own the product MS does you only only a license to use it, so if under licensed, Microsoft have to power to remove your hardware that their software is running

You would be amazed at the high profile companies (& Goverment organisations) that fall into this trap & then face a huge bill to pay Microsoft off, before they take it further.

Of course the other people they care about are those producing the copies as well. When XP was introduced you could buy copies of it Russia for less than MS could produce it for, & 2 months before it was due, which was amazing, as we were informed just before its launch!

The whole microsoft licence thing is a rip off, all this client/server crap and user cals I would never pay for microsoft software out of princible plus is easy to get it for free if you know were to look. Bill gates makes more than enough money, he ripped the idear of windows off apple plus all the crap over IE and netscape Microsoft want to take over the world
