i just went to turn on my mums comp to look at autodata and it started chirping, took side off and its the buzzer, sounds like a van reversing.the screen says no output. any ideas whats wrong?
Check monitor cables, but i have a bad feeling that the GPU might of moved check that it is fully in the PCI slot, if not then try another GPU, if it works then i think the original could beaten the dust...esp. with the buzzing not a good sign...
you need to know the brand of motherboard and the pattern of beeps to match the diagnostic code with the likely fault. As said above check everything (graphics, ram etc) is seated correctly and all the fans are turning.

Some branded pc now have flashing power leds so you can determine the fault without opening the case. Fault usually involves opening the case to fix though
