computer beeping at me

earlier on... (its done it before too) my PC tower started beeping.. like some kind of alarm or summit. restart or whatever and its fine

its the i am hot alarm, is it full of dust? what temp is alarm set to in bios?

Or take the object off that is holding down the Ctrl button

If the date/time is screwed it could be a BIOS battery is dead warning

It could be pretty much anything depending on the pattern/speed of the beep. If you still have the manual for the motherboard it should tell you what the specific beep pattern you are hearing is warning you about.

Only if it's out of a can though - if it's out of a compressor it'll have moisture in it (unless you have one of those inline dehumidifier things)
