Yes your right.
Touchscreen is old old technology tbh. Windows XP works fine with touch screen...... Im planning a carputer using XP which will be working from a 7" touch screen.
cant see any use for that in my car yet i want one
How about 120gb+ of storage, Mp3, Mp4, Divx, AVI, Mpeg, DVD, Support (basically everything a PC can play), wireless broadband such as 3 (HSDPA), oh and Sat Navigation such as Tomtom.
Meh!
but its not all that simple lol
Microsoft have confirmed that Windows 7 will be due for release late 2009
http://www.pcpro.co.uk/news/201213/windows-7-due-with-multitouch-in-2009.html
They have also confirmed that it will be touch screen, see a demo of it here
http://windowsvistablog.com/blogs/w...05/27/microsoft-demonstrates-multi-touch.aspx
have they confirmed that it will be crap yet or not?
I thought that would be self explainatory :nerner:.
christ, Just look at Vista and Windows XP wasn't usable until SP1.
They should just Junk the abortion that was vista, say sorry to everyone that bought it, and give them windows 7 AFTER it's actually a stable OS. Of course this won't happen, but Meh.

Not to mention it was 5years in the making to and its still s***e
What's s***e about it?
Because my 3 favourite games run like a bag of ****e on it. The OS itself works ok (after i've spent 3 hours configuring it including turning all the noob eye candy s*** off).
So now I just use a slimline XP install for gaming and Linux for everything else.
Would I be able to just hook a carputer up to my already existing touchscreen
Strangly, I found 64-bit Vista fixes this for me. I mean i only average at 60fps~ for CS:S in 32-bit now and in XP its more like 160fps.
But 64-bit Vista comes with its own set of issues! However, calling eye-candy noobish is a little extreme, some people like nice things to look at...
