How much extra a month this cost you over normal BT? The exchange is literally 50 yards down the road, so thinking of upgrading.

Was:
£13 O2 broadband + £5.15 BT Anytime Calls + £10.75 BT line rental
Total: £28.89

Now:
£21 BT Inifinity 2 broadband and BT Anytime Calls + £10.75 BT line rental
Total: £31.75

So for £2.86 extra a month we thought it was worth it. Also didn't want to get migrated over to Sky. This was with the BT Shareholder offer. TBH it is worth just buying a few BT shares to get the discount

note the halving of my upload speed from my 50 meg package!

So after a long call and many different depts
a compromise was reached and 100 meg for £4 extra a month was sorted.
be wary of VMS new packages. they have dropped the 10-1 ratio and are now on a 20-1 ratio for DL-UL speeds

At a customers site, man this internet is fast. I grew suspicious of the internet quality when I went to download a 40mb file and it was downloaded before I could even open the download window!

I've got a new server on a Gigabit internet connection and when you download it's the bandwidth limit shoveling data to the hard disks that's the bottleneck not the internet connection!

That's rapid!! I suppose if you have a use for it.
The 4g ee tariffs make me laugh. The cheaper ones have monthly limits you could tear through in a couple of minutes.

This is my 4G EE speed... its faster than my BT broadband at home. i do tend to use my phone for large uploads as I only get 1or2 m/bit up from my ADSL.

Usage is capped at 5gig download for me on EE.

Don't forget uploads count towards your quota.

We did a speed test of my mates iphone 5 on EE n the pub the other day. 39meg download and 20 meg upload

We probably used 1/2 his monthly allowance retrying the test though.

Download is better at the new place, upload is slower though, seeding back all the stuff I've leeched is taking a while
