Hi,
Im after a little help in a new pc build i would like to start after xmas.

Im wanting to go Quad for future proofing really.

I currently run a AMD 64bit 3400+ 1 GB ram.

My friend has just got a new HP pc package, this is the base that has come with it : http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/uk/en/ho/WF06b/35123-35527-39847-39847-39847-80626480-81033254.html
That lot cost him £800.

Im wanting maybe to build similar,

The main things im after, is :

Quad Core
2gb Min ram i would pref like 3 or 4.
Obviously a decent MB with 2 + Sata connectors
An okish G/Card that lets me do Full Screen Video Out On TV using Vista(i have used Vista with my current G/Card a "Geforce 6200 AGP" and wont allow me to do the said option. Apparently ATI do tho.
An Okish decent power supply (quiet as poss)

I would also like a silent(ish) pc, my current one is quite noisey (fans etc..)

A new case may be good also, but i can use my current one.

Any help would be great.

Thanks. Dom

ooops, i did mean to state what i was going to use it for.

At the moment, i currently use my pc for internet browsing/imaging/video and video editing and converting AVI to dvd.

Budget.. Not sure.. whatever under £800.

i built a dual core AMD 6600, 2gb, terrabyte of space that will record off my virgin box and allow me to pause and rewind live tv for just over £400
plus it looks the dogs (y)

Find Stu's new pc thread for the ultimate pc though i'm not sure what the budget is going to come out like though for that one
