The only time I ever experienced a problem like yours was when the wireless settings had not been configured correctly.

Does the laptop work with the cable?

Are you using more then one wireless configurator as in the built in windows one along with another third party one?

If you are using 2 disable one.

Can you see other computers on the network using your Laptop?

Oh dear, unplug all your stuff and uninstall all drivers and software relating to it.

Refit and install as per instructions, make sure your windows is fully updated.

omg i can't beleive it lol, it's broke again, this time msn wont even work, it comes on saying the wireless adaptor is connected, both lights are flashing, when i go to disable it, it freezes while the message is saying that it's disabling the adaptor, when i try to repair it, it sticks on disabling the adaptor.

if i restart the laptop after doing this the connection is disabled but when i try to connect it just comes up saying connection failed

i'ne been on an hour trying to sort it out

any ideas this time lol? thanks again~!

get a hard wired modem for both and check the net on lappy and pc, if they work ok it's a hardware issue then just bin the router and usb and rethink the setup.

i bought myself a new Linksys WRT54G and it works beautifully with all my hard wired networking and wireless, printers are easy to set up too.

get yourself a new router and maybe a wireles PCcard
