hello i have a problem with my p.c ( not my laptop )
a few weeks ago it crashed i got bored and bought a lap top what i was wondering is there a way of getting it up and runnin now my house is wire less it looks good in the games room

here what i know about the problem

i turn it on all seems ok

i get the windows failed too start properly select one of the below
start in safe mode
start in safe mode with networking another one i not sure of and the start windows normally

no matter which one of these i click i end up back at the same window every time

now i cant find the boot disk so thats that idea out th window

any ideas any one .... reformating is not an option as my wedding photos honey moon photos are stored on it plus several holiday albums


please help would be a shame too let it go to p.c heaven

Got a GOOD friend with Pc If so remove your hard drive set it as slave and connect fit to his PC.VIRUS SCAN IT
( read contents My Pictures,documents etc and copy them to cd)
Alternately buy an external USB case to fit your hard drive in.

Then you read your hard drive and Back up all your Photos documents etc.
Refit your hard drive back to PC (set as master).

Then try and find your boot disk and set bios to boot from CD.
Xp should give you option to REPAIR Installation,try this.
If it fails to repair at least you have retrieved all your Photos etc then reformat and reinstall.And copy all photos etc from CD back to your fresh install and your Laptop.
