How do I convert my external drive from NTFS to Fat 32. I right click my external drive letter and select format, but in the drop down menu it says that NTFS is the default but I can't see FAT 32 in the list.

I need it to be formatted to Fat32 for the PS3

I'm using Vista Home premium.

dont you have to fdisk it

Does Vista have manage on the right click of my computer, think you need to go via disk managment.

Think I've worked it out.

The problem is I want to convert my external HDD from NTFS to Fat 32. I've gone into disc management and I'm using the Vista online help manual. And it says select Fat 32 from the drop down menu. But it just keeps showing MTFS as default and nothing else.

IIRC as it is now NTFS you have to wipe it completely clean with FDISK which (I think) takes it right back to FAT so you can then reformat it to FAT32.
