If I'm in my 769cc Panda, you'll be miles ahead!

Anyway: you're more than welcome -- and I've added you to the mailing list for future events.

Re: Midlands Italia: Nottingham meet -- July?

So has a date be decided upon as I would like to set a target date for some things I want to get done that I just never seem to be motivated to do. (mainly removing bumper strips haha)

No need to feel "daft", at all! We all have to learn our way around the forum, somehow...!

I used an online power to weight ratio calculator just out of interest.....

The weighty GP manages 0.28

The flimsy Panda beats this with 0.32

Which is why all those GP's ate my dust at a Yorkshire Italia meet

The 1.4 does best the panda at 0.33 - on paper at least

It's not the speed it's how you drive the car that counts

What we need is The Stig to take a classic panda and GP round the track

Re: Midlands Italia: Nottingham meet -- July?

Just back from hols in Scotland and have now voted on a day... Sunday is my day of preference and I've gone for the 21st, but I'm flexible on that. We only need to meet up in Notts, we can drive anywhere :-) seems the 21st is the most popular day so far though.

Re: Midlands Italia: Nottingham meet -- July?

Just a quick message to say hopefully we get the date sorted and that I'm on holiday in tenerife from 2 o'clock today until next Sunday so I won't be able to reply to any pms regarding this until I'm back. I would also like to say chippy chips are my favourite suggestion for food haha :P

Hopefully there will be free wifi somewhere in tenerife lol

Sam

Question Re: Midlands Italia: Nottingham meet -- July?

How do people -- especially the locals -- feel about meeting up at The Thorn Tree Inn, at Woodlinkin?

Part of the George's Tradition chain, the fish and chips are supposed to be excellent. Looks a good base for a convoy, as well....

I don't mind where we meet for the convoy I'm travelling from Leicester anyway so it's not too far out the way

Question Re: Midlands Italia: Nottingham meet -- July?

The 21st it is, then! (Sorry, @Palio.)

Before I put up an official/officious event thread: anyone else apart from @benny279 like to comment on the Thorn Tree Inn idea...?

I just think it will be easy to get to for most folks; and the fish and chips -- being part of an award-winning chain of chippies -- will be top-notch. If it's raining, we can sit in; if it's fine (fingers crossed), get takeaway, and go for a drive...!
