Description
Looking to sell my 2002 Fiat Seicento sporting for spares and repairs.
Gone to jump start it and there was a loud screeching sound and smoke coming from the bonnet. Not sure what the issue is but I don't want to pay to fix it and put it through an MOT just to sell it.

It is a yellow, sporting, with a fully working, full-length sunroof. Last year it had its cambelt change and in 2017 had a lot of work done to the brakes, which I have the receipt for.
There are age-related marks on the paintwork and the black on the alloys and side of the doors is coming off, but can be redone easily. The passenger-side mirror is missing its edge but this has been like this since I have had the car. The components of the interior light are missing and there is a small hole, looks like a cigarette burn on the driver's seat which has also been like this since I have had the car.

It would be a shame to scrap it as it has been a good little car.

Also now selling on EBay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/163807689813

Hi,

Just for clarity it is not a Schumacher but a regular Sporting

The noise sounds like a stuck alternator and the smoke the fan belt rubbing on it

yes i thought the same when i read that.. Try just taking the belt off and starting the car - even if you don't fix it should help with the sale being able to categorically say that the issue is the alternator as thats easily swapped.
