She's a 1970, RHD UK original in Marina Blu (original colour was orange).
The car was fully restored between 2011 and 2014 at significant cost including, new floor pans, new fuel tank, a new wiring loom, a restored 650 engine (1983) and synchro gearbox which, as i understand it has only covered a few thousand miles since (backed up by MOT certs), new paint etc etc.
I bought the car as a simple project to bring back to its current condition and my love of the air-cooled motor, but as I also have a number of other cars, space is becoming a premium and I'm looking for another Fiat project (probably a 600 multipla...if i can find one).
I've spent a few £k since purchase cleaning up the bodywork and replacing/upgrading a number of parts including;
- A 123 electric ignition.
- New Carburettor.
- Full service changing all standard parts incl gaskets.
- 4 new Pirelli tyres.
- New front wheel bearings
- New front windscreen rubber
- New Chrome headlight trim
- many more.
She probably doesn't need to have an MOT now given the new rules but I've had one done (expires May 2019) for piece of mind of any buyer.
She runs like a dream and as I have installed soundproofing she's a little quieter than she was when she came off the production line.
Everything works on her and whoever gets her will enjoy a fantastic little car with enough poke for it not to be embarrassing on hills or the motorway.
I have a file of paperwork - bills / MOT's etc.
I'm asking £12,500 for her which some believe is too low for a rare car such as this and all the time and money spent on her but sometimes its best to move on and enjoy another project.....she'll be missed though.
