For sale is my very much loved and cared for Fiat Stilo Schumacher GP 2.4 5cyl 170bhp No.71.
I’ve had the car a long time now and have plenty of happy memories of all the places it’s taken us over the years, mostly in Europe. I’ll be very sad to see it go.
Below is a brief history and information about the car.
Registered new at Rayrigg Motors Fiat dealership in Windermere 31.10.2005. It was sold to the previous owner in 2006. He covered around 3,400 miles in the first 6 months of ownership before it was put into storage for nearly 7 years. It covered a few extra miles for MOT’s etc. and in October 2012, with 3,642 miles on the clock, I bought the car myself. The car has now covered ~70,500 miles following my 12 years 9 months of ownership.
The car is standard apart from a few modifications.
1. The main modification is the performance brake upgrade. The car is fitted with a £1700 Tarox 6 piston front big brake kit with 310x26mm grooved discs and braided hoses. The rear calipers have been professionally refurbished and painted red to match with new discs, Tarox pads and Goodridge braided brake hoses.
2. It currently has white wheels. They are also genuine Stilo Schumacher GP wheels that I bought second hand, that had been painted white by a guy who planned to fit them to his Lancia Delta project. I still have the original silver set in storage which will be sold separately once the car is sold.
3. Like most people I fitted cruise control.
4. It has a genuine Fiat detachable towbar fitted which I think must have been fitted by the dealer when new, although I’ve never needed to use it.
5. I put some tailored rubber mats in when I bought the car but I do still have the original Schumacher ones.
I have all service records and receipts presented in a folder. The MOT is due to expire next month so I’ll be taking it to get a fresh one closer to the date of expiry and before sale. Selenia Racing 10w60 used since new.
