Hi no-one has actually taken the Multipla & although I've found a garage willing to take on the welding;- I've developed the requirement for a vehicle that I can stand up in ~ which means I've outgrown the multipla
so I'm 'breaking' it for parts if anyone needs anything?
55 plate Mk 2 (newer shape) silver grey with excellent diesel engine approx 130k in Bristol.
Oils & oil filter replaced each year
Fuel filter replaced
Belts & crankshaft pulley done approx @85-90k miles
Higher spec Replacement starter motor fitted
New both rear wheel bearings
Would anyone like the 6-seater for a parts vehicle?

(Although I first joined the forum a few years ago - I couldn't really navigate it & had to rejoin. I don't have much time so WhatsApp is really the only viable way for offers/ info---- I'd get round to 'in conversation, or email someday, but can't guarantee when!- but WhatsApp works well for me)
Or is anyone up for continuing my 6 year restoration.......?
I've spent about £2000 since lockdown welding/replacing the first ¾ underside of vehicle & trying to treat the complete underside,.....now Major rot has developed in the final ¼ of the vehicle where the rear axle joins the chassis & its broken me. I absolutely adore the design of this car & find the vehicle so useful for me & Too Much Fun for my grandchildren to play in but I can't do anymore.
The Rear Axel itself has been neatly welded & copiously re-greased along the full inside length of the interior of the Axel.
N/S rear swinging arm + pin renewed
I'm most proud of the nearly new Front Subframe that I had fitted when I thought the car was going to die then!
Newish large battery from BBL batteries of Bristol
4 excellent tyres and a spare.
Towbar & electric pin- connector, all tested & working properly
Spare wheel carrier - innovative redesign by fiat restorer & works well for a full size spare wheel.
All 3 handbrake brake cables have been newly replaced & work beautifully
The rear electrics were sorted out nicely- a 'ground' fault
All seats present & comfortable
2 keys for the central locking & V5 logbook present
Exhaust works well & no issues ever with it passing MOT emissions tests
The JTD engine I believe is of the Saab heritage, extremely economical 40 mpg or more on a run, dependant on speed.
The onboard computer display once went up to a sustained 64mpg during a summer where I had been using
2-3 bottles of 'two-shot' Redex diesel fuel cleaner/and one bottle of 'fuel enhancer' on a 50mph run up to Lancaster & back for £60 fuel!) & the engine still surprises me that nippy enough to swing this ol' lady neatly around the dancefloor
Other work required other than the Welding:
Slightly dented n/side passenger doors - (This happened recently & I have the black plastic strip that came off the door & bought silver+ Matt black aerosols to do any touching up of the bodywork & the black around the door window's.
Ariel needs replacing - I have one but haven't fitted it.
Rear wiper not working -- suspect the wiper motor
The rear plastic floor strip is cracked & I have a good replacement but not fitted it yet.
The rear interior door - pockets have seen better days & I have sourced good replacements with all fixings necessary but not fitted yet.
The Sony 45amp removable head unit works well, has a USB port, & headphone/smartphone Jack and can be connected to a cd changer which I've bought but not fitted (the cd changer is available if required separately for the £65 cost)
I bought a pair of replacement speakers that are the wrong size for the front & was going to squeeze them into the rear door speaker replacement, but haven't fitted them (£20)
Other Spares available at cost
.... Almost too numerous to list as I thought this was going to be my 'forever vehicle :
Spare gearbox & a used clutch plate & all bolts-( my one SH55 MYZ crunches a little moving the gearknob into first gear- no big deal but I was going to replace it one day when the clutch needed replacement-- but the engine & drive train are running strong)
Spare rear brake backplates
Spare front strut assemblies with brake- discs, the brake-calipers & new brake pads
Only one spare front suspension spring - as I already replaced one on the multipla.
Complete spare headlining (-you wouldn't believe what I had planned for replacing the front two passenger seats to make them removable as well as the rear)
Spare set of 3 removable rear seat runners that bolt onto the floor, the plastic surrounds & snap-in small cover- pieces.
Renovated bolts for the runners.
Spare Seatbelts and fixings
ALL interior plastic fittings & fixings! (-i was going to tart up the interior & exterior of the car having imagined that I'd finished restoring the underside & the welding...!)
Centre console & fitments in nice condition
Interior light units including the major front one and small rear push- ones. All in excellent condition.
Spare steering wheel controls - indicators/headlights wipers & switches & knobs
Box of complete set of replacement rubber door seals
2 Thule locking bars & feet (£50)
Rear parcel shelf (40)
2 sets of front & rear carpets - one of which is almost new looking.
Etc etc etc.
