Whilst fitting the new switch for my electric headlight adjustment I accidentally pulled the back off one of the electric window switches.

The 2 metal contacts inside fell out so I had to put them back in. I did that and when I switched the ignition on I heard a small pop and the windows wouldn't work. Checked the fuse and that has blown so replaced it. But they still do not work.

I only refitted the passenger side switch, the drivers side one never got touched but neither work.

Any ideas?

just a thought for ya.... check all the fuses, ones under the dash as well as in the fuse box. You might have blown the feed for the electric window relay as well as the actual windows themselves, might not be, but when I altered mine so that you could work the windows without the key in the ignition I tried getting the total closure on my rcl to work and IIRC I managed to blow more than one fuse:eek:

Fuse F11 7.5Amp for illumination and should be a fuse under passenger side dash (25Amp) near control relay.(I think).: brown, Brown/White.
