Does anyone know if the 900cc cinq/sei gear change cables are the same?

Fiat say I can no longer buy cinq ones individually and the pair costs over £150 + VAT!! He said the original cinq part had been superseded and the new ones come with an extra bracket.

I have been offered some sei cables, but I wasn't sure if they're the same. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Chris

The seicento ones look to be different.
The cables off the 1100 might fit but you would have to lay the cables side by side to compare.

I think the cables for the wet gearbox are different from the dry one all through the range.

First, are you sure the cables need replacing? With the exception of the reverse inhibitor (and I'm not 100% sure that the 900 has one), they don't seem to go.

I'd be inclined to go to a scrappy. You should be able to pick up a set for £20. They're easy to remove (but the joint seperator desribed in the Haynes is handy -- I made one up from a cheap cold chisel in about 15 minutes). Make sure you get all the clips.

The cable for forward/back action has snapped! I pulled the end off!
