Cinq Sporting 1.1 - Just taken out an engine (old Van Aaken High Boost Turbo conversion) an replaced it with another one (standard, albeit with a 6 speed box). Everything is now back in and connected (I think!) but the engine turns and won't start. The fuel injection light in the dash comes on when the ignition is on and then starts flashing. It flashes 33 times (of any importantce??) and then stays on. There is no fuel being pumped in through the injector and as a result no sparks. When the ignition is turned on you can't hear the fuel pump startup. Have cheaked the fuel cutoff switch and don't think it's that or the crank sensor+HT leads in right places.
I'm now kinda stuck!!
Any ideas or help greatly apprieciated-wires that may not be connected/blocked stuf????? - anything.
Cheers,
Matt

Yeah - pretty sure it has been. The fuel map controller that was in the car has been removed and all its wires. And I've reconnected all the wires that it was cut into to how they should be standard with male/female connectors so I'm pretty sure that all the wiring is correct - however may have missed something so I am looking into getting a diagnostic check done - just need a place to do it now, what with it being a non-standard car n'all.
Cheers Pete,
Matt
