Hi

Just bought my cinquecento on sunday, its my first car thought i'd lower my insurance hence only a 900cc ( but it is black so that makes up for that). Anyway Im needing help with a couple of things.

The car came with 17cm Sony 2 ways in the rear shelf, after 2 hours of driving they got me angry because theres no bass in them at all hence i took them out, So i've cut the holes wider and looking for 6x9's that have nice bass. Cant be bothered with an Amp and sub. I was looking at the pioneer TS-A6910 . Can anyone recommend any good bassy 6x9's.

Also with my size 11 feet them pedals are soo hard to press especially when braking, i swear im pressing the accelerator at same time any suggestions...

Finally didn't notice when i bought it but i think the handbrake is doggy, sometimes the car begins roling forward as i'm getting out so i leave it in gear now?

Would appreicate any help guys/girls.

Satty

check the cinq FAQ's for handbrake info,as for the pedals theres not really a lot you can do for that as theres only so much space in the footwell.one of the ice guys will give you advice on speakers,i personally run kenwood 6x9's

Yea i've looked up the handbrake thing, i guess its a major issue on these cars coz lots of people got problems with it. I guess i'll be out with my tools on the weekend. I was looking to buy a manual but there two, which one is best, 1)Hyane or 2) That fiat Service approved one.

Hmm i tried my cousins sony xplode 6x9 but they were pants, hardly any bass than the 2way sony's i had in before. I'm defo looking into the Pioneer TS-A6910 i've heard there real bassy.

Bit annoyed about pedals. Are there any aftermarket ones that are bigger or anything. Its mainly the accelerator i wanna change as its so high up i get cramp in my foot sometimes.

Custard; the sei abarth ones dont fit the cinq according to my local dealer, also heard from ppl on forum that they dont fit B)

Well its not soo much the make, I just want some 6x9 that dont sound like tweeters. (cough sony xplode) I've heard that the pioneer TS-A6910 sound bassy so do infinity ones and at £50 thats good but i dout my halford will be that cheap i'll check it out.

Most 6x9's should sound 'bassy' so kong as the boot is sealed and the parcel shelf isn't moving about. Even the best of speakers will sound weak if not properly mounted.
I'd recommend JBL if you are on a budget or Rockford Fosgate if money is no problem.

If you cant be arsed with a sub and amp, which to be honest is the only way to get 'real' bass then get or make a 15mm MDF shelf, sound deaden the rear of it to reduce vibrations and resonance, then get some 6x9 Genesis subs, stealth fit them running something like -150hz. Or if you dont want to fork out for them just get some normal 6x9's running a low pass filter. Then get some decent fronts to balance it out.

Why not look at an all-in-one setup like those JBL ones that have a sub and amp in a small enclosure, they can be picked up very cheaply or an Infinity Basslink.

Humm you could be right about the boot, although i think its sealed properly but is there anything i can do to make it abit more air tight. Perhaps some kind of carpet thing.

You'll never seal the boot unless you fibreglass it. what about making small box's for the 6x9's.

I cant believe Im condoning use of 6x9's!! [xx(]

Short of building a box for the boot-might aswell get a sub and amp if you do this, there's not much you can do. Best bet is get an acoustic shelf made of MDF with acoustic cloth covering, that way your speakers will be hidden and you'll have a better mounting with less vibration.
Juat a though but were the old speakers wired up correctly, if you get it wrong it can make them sound rubbish.

Satty, I have Pioneer TS-A6900's in my Cinq. I think they're awesome. I can imagine the 6910's being better. They only reason I didn't spend the extra for those is because I'm not running them through an amp. I'd recommend them for bass. But what head unit you using?

I had some JBL p93's in mine before they got niked. Reduced to 50quid from 100 at motorworld. You'd swear they were amped up, they6 had a s**t load of bass but you need to balance it out with a good set of components coz otherwise the treble is s**t.

I need some Cinq sun visors, if anyone has any please e-mail me or PM me!
