Right,

I think I'm gonna go for a C&B 268. Trouble is they're £275 delivered!

Is there anywhere that does them cheaper than Gazzela?

Or is there another (proven) fast road grind as good?

IIRC OldSchool reprofiles Punto 75 cams for 140~150£ You can pick a P75 cam up for 20£ or so from a scrappy.

the reply that I received from those guys was:

For daily driver the best cams costs... 355 euros plus iva

Looks like I'll have to simply wait untill one appears on fleabay.

Or you sell yours :D

Always have to reprofiling a cam from a punto 75 ? We can´t take a cam from a 75 and put it on a Cinquecento? From none of the Fiats we can do that and gain some "power"?

Sorry for the questions, just learning :D

The 75 cam offers some advantages. If you want more, it's either reprofile a 75 cam or go to a billet one (expensive). AFAIK, the 75 is the only other Fiat cam that'll fit the 8 valve FIRE.

So, what you say is that I can get a original punto 75 cam and straight away putit on my engine that will give me some advantage? Better if I replofile it?

Regards

Yes and yes. You'll need to check the shimming, but with a straight 75 swap you'll probably get away without changing the shims. Note that CC's Fluffy the Impaler is doing good deals on cams.;)

I had some correspondence with them a while back and they were up front enough to say they didn't want to get involved with that kind of engine development. Which in my eyes is a good thing, they know where there limits are.

I'd like to speak to someone here who's running one of their cams.

Proof pudding etc...

C&B i thin are worth the money.... if it wasnt for my car having big probelms i would still have them in my car. back to standard for testing!
