ive just found out my engine is rubbish the bottom bearings have gone and makes a rele high pitch noise when its running im guessin the person b4 me didnt put ne oil in but anyway the bod and interior of this beauty is impeccable and im after a reconditioned engine cos i dont wanna sell it for spares or repair but havin trouble findin a recon im after the 1.1 cos i dont wanna supe it up as im only 17 and need the low insurance.
have any of had to do an engine swap and recomend ne1?
also im i right in thinkin tht the punto 1.1 and the cinquecento and seicento engines are all the same and would be a straight swap? please help i have been lookin in the yellow pages and nothins turned up can u recomend ne where? i live in the midlands any help much appreciated

you wont Need A Recon Engine, just a good used one will be fine

Try Midland Fiat, they are based in Dudley. They can do the swap if you don't want to D.I.Y and they should be able to provide you with an engine as well.

Midland Fiat should at least be able to give you an honest appraisal of what is wrong.
