That's the question.
The wipers on my Sei have just stopped self parking, simple fix I thought and stuck another relay in but no joy, I still have to mess about with the stalk to get them to lie down properly (n)
Any body got any ideas? I don't mind trying to fix it myself but I don't want to spend hours fiddling with motors and switches if it's something simple.:bang:
Cheers, Franco

Its a power thing. The wiper needs power to self park, when you switch the switch off the motor stays live until the contact in the motor reaches the non conducting bit, which parks it.

It could be a supply problem to the motor, or the contacts inside.

Thanks for the advice everybody, looks like a replacement motor might be the way to go. Anyone know where I can get a second hand one and how difficult they are to replace. Incidentally are most of the parts like switches on the Sei compatible with the Cinq?

Well, got a wiper motor from the interweb, put an enquiry in with www.Breakeryard.com and got back about 8 different breakers offering various prices with various warranties. Bought one from www.asnewautorecyclers.co.uk for just under £29 which included p/p and was delivered first class post. I've just fitted it which took about an hour, including a coffee break and a chat with my neighbor and it seem to work perfectly:) , we'll see if that's the case when it's howling with rain.
So a big thanks to the advice from the other Forum members and on to the next problem of a cracked windscreen from a stone on the M25 last week.
Cheers. Franco.(y)
