yeah, once ive done a bit more tweaking i'm going to make the config files avaible on here.
Arc hurry up and turbo yours and give me that Map then i'll get a MS

Bosch PWM idle valve off a caviler, should do the job.
this is needed because MS can control a fast idle valve (opens to allow fast idle) or a PWM idle contol valve with a simple mod.. or with a complex mod it can control a stepper motor valve like the type we have on our cars. I don't want to do that kinda modification to the ECU yet.. so i'll fit the PWM valve for now.

as far i can see thought, that article talks about driving several coil packs at different times, for >4 cylinders running wasted spark.
What i want to do is run a 4 cylinder wasted spark system, that normally has 2 spark outputs (1+3)(2+4), but splice it so i run 4 coils in wasted mode.
Kind of hard to explain exactly what i mean, so i may just fit the COP set-up to my running seicento ecu, splicing wires, and see if it runs
It could work in which case my idea is verified, or it could result in £200 of COP plugs and a Seicento ECU destroyed
I'll try it on the weekend if I get chance....wish me luck lol

Read a couple pages lower, at the link i gave you, it says "Driving two coils from the same spark output e.g. 4cy COP (wasted spark format) 6cy and 8cy COP"....

That is exactly what I need to do then
... just have to find some more vb921's from a UK supplier and I'll be all set...great stuff I''l pratcive the MS with the old coil and leads, then once it works, add two more vb921's and fir the COP's

My 1242 8v Cinq mpi turbo has a Megasquirt V3 with 4 VB921 transistors as it has been modified to run COP on a 4 cylinder(although I am only using 2 of them and the standard coil packs). I burned one of the transistors out while trying a few things and believe me when I say you cant get them in England unless you want to buy 500 of them. Best bet is to do what I did and contact one of the American Megasquirt suppliers(Glens Garage...etc) and ask if they will sell you some.

Anyone got a half decent map for the 1242 8v yet?? Looked everywhere, the tables on here a few pages back, mega squirt wont load as it says some of the parameters are two high, and the not starting for a couple of attempts when warm is annoying.Will get it looked at by apro when pennies allow, but in the meantime any clues would be great. Thanks in advance.
my map is not finished at the moment, but it runs my car. if you would like a copy, i've attached it to this post.

what i suggest you do, open MT and load my settings file and have a look at it. on your laptop, open MT and look at your current settings and compare the two. do not burn my settings file into your ECU and make sure you backup your files before you make any changes.

'ang on.. isn't yours a turbo? don't try and use my tables then.. mines n/a
they would be yeah - but don't you also have MGZR injectors vs my P75 ones?
They are not MGZR injectors, they are from a rover 200 gti.
same thing aint they? lol.

Arc, what firmware are you running?
What Trigger/Angle offset and Tooth#1 angle do you use?
Also post Cranking Pulse table and your VE table please.
