Hullo all... havenmt said anything for a while, but I have been listening.

is it possible to perform a rear disc ocnversion on a cinq, and does anywhere sell the kits to do it? I was reading Fast Ford (Reading, not buying - as if!) and they had a guide for an escort and it looked a piece of pistachio.

Anyone any ideas/past experiences/knowledge of where to pick one up from?

It needs the calipers from a Punto GT Turbo. Some Mareas also have the same one. The discs used are Cinq front ones. Pad material is your own choice. The handbrake cable needs modification at both the ends and the mounting for the roller at the lever needs extending rearwards. The tricky bit is to fabricate the brackets to hold the caliper. I used the drum back plate for the dimensions for the centre mounting holes and had a caliper mounting bracket made up in the style of the punto GT one.
I also have a balance bar pedal box, if you don't have one the pedal action can be a bit long.

Hope this helps

Cheers
