Hi there,

I don't know if anyone on here has experience this problem before.

Recently the engine management has came on again ? about a year ago this happened i change the lambda sensor and it was fine.

Could this be exact same problem again.

Forgot to say i drive a fiat, cinquecento S (899cc, M reg).

And thanks in advance

bye for now

That actually makes sense. The ECU is constantly monitoring the information from the sensors so if it sees something it expects it will switch the light off.

Therefore you have an intermittant fault, which could be connector related. or the start of a sensor failing.

At least check the connections, after that, its code read time.

Cheers

good call cc1 :), i'll get some redex, and i'll run a tank of BP ultimate before i put my car in for a retest.

I failed mainly on my emission. dunno if this data will help.

failed on:

fast idle test : HC ppm VOL: Max limit:200 , Actual Value: 308
Lambda : Max limit:1.030, Actual value: 1.105

Second fast idle test: HC PPM VOL: Max limit:200 , Actual Value: 308
Lambda : Max limit: 1.030 , Actual Value: 1.061

May be this help as well, about a month ago my head gasket was gone, i got that udea since i was getting all the white crap in the engine oil bit. since then i brough K-seal , and that have completely fixed the problem and i no longer losing any water + my heating is working amazingly.

So now i brought another lambda sensor, after i put it on, do i need to do anything to reset the ECU ? Can i do this by unplugging the battery ??

any help again will be appreciated . thanks everyone!!!
