Right! I've got some heated Calibra Leather seats laying around and I wondered if they might fit in the Cinq? Anyone tried it? What would I have to do to get them in? They were a straight fit in my old car so I don't know anything abot modifying sub frames or anything like that! Any help greatfully recieved guys!

luckily my bmw seats fitted without much effort the only real problem I had was getting reverse,it takes some efford with big seats, mainly because the way the subframe design is,

anyway what i dont was sat the seats where they were supposed to go,but the holes didnt line up,so i drilled the holes out larger on the subframes ,then cut some metal plates with a grinder,to use as a washer, this means that my bolt wont go through the subframe ,in the event of a crash and me and the seat wont go through the windscreen,

my seats are not fitted ,the drivers one was fitted for ten mins ,but i removed it because its away with rallycinq for its MOT ,didnt want the mot dude to say anything about how legal my fixing of the seats is lol

I dont think theres a legal requirement for seat fixing for the MOT as long as theyre rigidly restrained to at least the same degree as the standard installation.

That is definately different for the SVA though.

garyaird11: So it didn't take alot effort then? Just a case of widening holes. I'm hoping its a similar case with the leathers! Then its finding somewhere to locate the heated switches!

LOL you dont want much do you? just leather interior and heated seats!

nah mate should go in ,aslong as they arent too wide they might sit too close to the ground aswell, which is a problem believe me ,when you want to slide the seats forward,

if that happens you just bolt on 2 metal plates to the bottom of the seat to lift the seat a little,

Well I'll give it a bosh and let you guys know how it goes! Maybe something to do for the weekend.

It'll be the first Cinq with heated leathers! (maybe)

well weve just fitted calibra leathers in my bros corsa and they were as you can guess exact straight bolt in and im guessing you had a corsa previously?:D

now one thing i will say is i think the calibra seats are alot wider than the cinq seats so therefore subframes would be as well but the main problem you have with the corsa/calibra seat frames is the bottom frames are basically crap and either side runner is different (one onto tunnel one onto floor) now you need to get them both exactly the same length and height for a start, keep the main corsa/calibra frame part as the windup height adjustment will come in handy also remeber these seat frames have a slot at the front rather than a hole

Put them in place and see just how far off they are to fitting but the main thing is make sure although this will sound daft that the seat is inline with the steering wheel as you will notice with alot of aftermarket seat installations that so the seats dont hit door cards or touch the gearstick they are either sitting too far outwards or inwards or slighly diagonally which you only notice after driving a bit  to explain it better imagine being able to put the accelerator to the floor with your right foot but not being able to put the clutch to the floor with your left:bang:

good luck there nice comfy seats iv just got to sort the heated switches and looms for my bros corsa and retrim the rears sometime soon and it will be complete:yum:
