Is it straight forward to replace or are there any surprises I need to know about?

Have you got a tank already? You may be able to get a free fuel tank replacement courtesy of the fiat recall. Check with your local dealer

It's a piece of **** to shear the bolts, so either soak them in penetrating oil a day before you do it or be prepared to possibly drill sheared bolts out.

Yes, I already have a replacement tank. This a 2000 model so probably wouldn't qualify for a recall would it?

I snapped all 3 when I did mine

Yes you would qualify and there has since been a further recall however, because youve already had it done once, fiat may make it difficut for yourselves to have another free

It's a competent DIYers job imo, if you only change wheels then prepare to allow for more time.
