Well after getting clutch cable fitted without being rang for the go ahead first, the MOT could commence.

And unsurprisingly it failed

001. Nearside headlamp aim too low (wouldn't adjust)
002. Offside headlamp aim too low (wouldn't adjust)
003. Nearside track rod end loose (advise tracking)
004. Nearside rear wheel bearing feels rough when rotated
005. Nearside outer rear suspension arm rubber bush deteriorated resulting in excessive movement
006. Offside outer rear suspension arm rubber bush deteriorated resulting in excessive movement

Advisorys
007. Offside front road wheel with a slightly distorted bead rim
008. Oil leak from oil filter

Not loving it, am skint so will be getting into debt again with my parents :bang:, need new headlamps, bushes and to get track rod end sorted. Have bearing sat here already, shop4parts took one day to deliver!

EDIT: oh and he wants £105+VAT to sort the bushes, reasonable price?

You'd be cheaper geting another Sporting for the bits tbh.

dunno what he would do given it's quite a labour intensive job the bushes so I would ask first.

He looked on autodata and it said 5 hours, he said nah less than that, put it on ramps and came back and quoted me the £105+ VAT.

I can't afford a new sporting , have to stick with that fecking ****heap sat out there looking sorry for itself.

just stick it out and get it MOT'd its worth it in the end, mine went straight through but now ive got a list of work to do, such as getting rid of silver vinyl on side panel covering dents where ive repaired it, change another rear wheel hub, and alarm to strip off and refit, determined to get it done though

*UPDATE*

Have just done bearing, and there is still play  but have done what he asked so......
Track Rod end, well Motosave have played a beauty there, when they last tracked it they couldn't be arsed to unseize the lock nut, so just twisted the track rod end, not very safe, so after the MOT I shall be going down and opening a can of whup ass ;).
Headlights- only one came, and damaged, rang the guy up, and both should be with me wednesday or thursday and they will collect the damaged one free of charge (y)
Going to get the garage to do the bushes, haven't the time nor can I be bothered, will only do more damage.
