Hi,

a mate of mine is thinking of buying a cinq to use as a run around for work and things, the one he has been offered has a damaged O/S wing, are the wings welded to cinqs? can the replacement be bolted on just,or what?

thanks

as said above front wings are held on with six 10mm bolts and two hex bolts whcih also hold the bonnet hinges on and they are reasonably easy to do the hard part being lining them up properly which many people dont seem to do these days:rolleyes:

rear quarters are a whole different kettle of fish you need to weld for a start and to a very good standard not just a go for it diy'er :D and the old rear quarter is cut off and the new one joined on about three quarters up the C pillar and half way up the b pillar and about 10cm in on the door cill and most of the time an inner arch is required but again many people rarely do this including garages:rolleyes:

id sugest genuine parts for both from dealers they arent expensive and the fit is a whole load better

wayne
