my fan system on my cinq is faulty. No hot or cold air is coming through at all. I have changed the fuses (the blue 15 & white/clear 25) but it still doesnt work.
please can anyone help? what should I do next?

your heater system may have an airlok near the battery under the bonnet you will see 2 pipes going into the bulkhead fibre stuff above one of them it will have a bleed screw u need to warm the car up 1st and leave it running, undo the nipple and let some of the air out, it water is just comming out then your system may be blocked and need flushing out, if so just take the top hose of the radiator and stick the hosepipe down it and seal with your hands then put the tap on full blast and wait for thewater to become clear whats comming out of the radiator.

dunno tho gaz, if it was heater matrix or blockage, it would still blow just wouldnt blow hot air

You mean the fan doesn't blow hot or cold air out?

If so, either the fan or the resistor pack in the fan is likely to be caput. If it's any consolation, mine is caput too! :bang: Not had time to look at it yet.

and mine and well ditto about the time lol is there a second resistor pack in the fan then? mines in the passenger side of the enginebay

on the sei its built inside the fan airbox bit just 2 screws hold it in, suppose its so the air system cools it down whilst blowing

Same on Cinqs resistor block is on the underside of the air box. The only access to this is to remove the whole airbox assembly as try as we did we couldn't get to it as its held in place by 2 screws.

mines been moved then unless im getting it totally mixed up with the wrong thing

Can't find mine right now, but from memory it's a green block about the size of a Swan Vestas packet, with connectors on the end.

maybee the flux capacitor?

It could be that yours has gone in the past and rather than take the whole heater box out, its been mounted remotely.

I've worked out that you can remove just the fan assembly without having to remove the whole heater box assembly.

You need to undo the wiper motor, but after that the fan housing is held onto the heater box with four small screws which can all be got at, in a fashion.

spotted that today D, (well saw it but wasnt 100%) but how do you get at the far two screws?

I could get onto both of them, the top one needed the wiper arm modesty panel removing, but thats only three wee screws.

have got a UT wiper motor anyway so only 2 bolts and wiper assembly is out of the way
