Hi,

I rebuild the car partly today and take a little stationair run. Sometimes I heart a poef noise and after searching for a while I saw fire came out of my butterfly valve.

Is it possible my new setup needs some new ignition timing at stationair running?
It's not when I hit the throttle (stil non driving.)

Please help

i'm sure you've checked it but you may have accidently overlooked it... have you checked that the timing is still all right?

when its not on boost or under any load it shouldnt need any setting up i wouldnt have thought

Didn't do anything with the wiring.

So the only thing I can't imagine is that the engine spools better and the ignition is a little faster then before.

Tomorrow I'll try to set the ignition a few degrees later with the laptop and see what it does.

OH did I say it looks cool to see flames in you TB valve :p

Its unlikely to be ignition timing out a few degrees. The flame is caused by the spark plug igniting the mixture when the inlet valve is still open. At higher engine speeds the amount of air being pulled into the engine is usually enough to stop the flames appearig at the TB.

Check the plug leads are on the right way. Its about 180 degrees out.

Cheers

I don't know for sure but I set the ignition at lower rpm's a little quicker with the old setup because the lower CR.

Didn't take any wire lose that's needed for the engine.

Maybe the fuel is a little to lean now.

If I set the ignition a few degrees later I should be oke, and I try to set the engine a bit more rich.

I set the ignition 8 degrees later then before. Now it's -2 quicker then the original ignition point and a little less fuel and now it's gone.
