hey, im darren and i have a heavily modded cinqy with wide-arches etc and i recently got a 2nd hand turbo kit but the turbo is a little naff. can anyone tell me where to get a turbo for the kit and also where i can go to get it fitted as i do not have the time to do it myself.

If the turbo needs refurbished then there are any number of places who can do it, its very easy to do a search on net which will come up with Turbo Technics, AET Turbos, or who a few of us on here have used with good rpices and very quick turnaround Universal Turbo's amongst others.

ahhhh your the guy who bought Rie's (hippycinq's) old car almost got that before it went to the dealer in part ex lol, but had just picked up another cinq a few days before as was out of my budget at first

edit: did you pick up the turbo/manifold off ebay?

Nice car, but not sure that air duct would actually do anything worthwhile -- talk to your aerodynamicist -- and think it needs twin headlamps for the real mini Integrale look.

Styling wise its not my cup of tea. I'm more into perfromance than wings,but hey if you like it then thats all that matters.

But everyones different and it looks like its in very nice condition.

As for a turbo, it really depends whether you have a complete kit or just the turbo/boost pipes etc.

Any turbo specialist can refurb that turbo for you, but if you need all the other bits such as second injector, boost valve, possible intercooler, mf2 etc. etc. it could get very expencive especially as there is no off the shelf kit from VanAaken anymore, you could go to Novitec which I rate very highly but at a large price unfortunately.

Someone with good engineering/mechanical knowlege should be able to fit it, but if you don't anyone like this, it could be expencive for a company to do it.

Are you going for Hi or low boost? as that makes a difference to the fitting complexity

as said what turbo kit did you get,what parts do you have

its a low compression kit and includes switzer s1 turbo, all pipes. intercooler, chipped ecu, sports cat, manifold to fit turbo onto. cheers for the comments guys. went for looks to begin with then decided its time for power.

So but I do not like it, too OTT

Oh I like the look of the T3/T4 turbo on your site, way too big for a Cinq but just right for my integrale :chin:

switzer turbo is that the novitec kit then?

yeah sounds like the novitec kit as that uses the S1 turbo etc
