Now ‘mot time’ usually isn’t a time for jubilation in the mase household…. Last year it cost me close to £200  for a years motoring, the year before that it cost over £300

So needless to say I wasn’t looking forward to getting the recent cinq tried and tested.

Took it to a different garage (didn’t see eye to eye with the last one, but that’s another story) plus this place had a Ferrari on the website so thought I couldn’t go wrong.

Dropped it off 1:30pm Tuesday, called back at 3:00pm Tuesday, the convo went a little like this!

Mr mot dude ‘yea we’ve finished….. not too bad, just a couple of little things’

Yours truly ‘oh yea… give me the bad news’

Mr mot dude ‘well the offside headlamp is insecure, your missing a bolt off the back, and the offside rear wheel bearing is rough…..’

Moi ‘and…….’

Mr mot dude ‘and…… that’s is, the exhaust is blowing slightly, and the front brakes will need changing soon, but apart from that its fine’

Me ‘legend!’

So I got the wheel bearing on the cheap from the motor factors, they fitted it for £34 (was cheaper than fitting it myself and getting a re-test, plus id prob bugger something up  )

So including the test itself it cost less than £100 to get the latest cento through… which considering both the tax and the insurance were due this month as well, is pretty f*cking lucky…. (y)

(just thought id share my brief moment of happiness with you cheerful people  )

WOOO HAR for cheap mot's :worship:

whey (y) Coulndt tell you how much mine cost this year to get through, hellava lot though! Only bonus is, it should last a couple of years without any work needed now :)

Thats it you've just jinxed yourself.. lol

my first two mots cost me £25 each in total, only hazard light wrong on one, and other was a straight through, then 3rd one would have cost £400+ (all brakes, rust etc) but cost £100 as we did all ourselves..

Thats what I like to hear! Nice affordable motoring!

My 01 Sei, has had 3 MOT's now and passed all of them 1st time but 1, where air was found in the braking system, this cost me 30mins of time and some fluid. £10

The only other cost has been the time each year to remove the supersprint manifold/decat section and put the original (cat in manifold) type one for MOT.

So luck so far good, for the future fingers crossed!
