Cheers peeps! getting it asap, just gotta sort the finace or loan and pxing the Cinq. Im getting that kit, which will be the font and rear bumpers and skirts. Not getting a spoiler or the front and rear quad lamps, keeping it smooth. Getting the rear door handles from a 5 door to do a 'locks off' jobbie, removing the bump strips, rear badges and lock off the boot. Getting the rims first tho. Looking at either hyper black or chrome 299's ( http://cars.potn.com/images/imbk299hyper.jpg ) or Kahn RSR's ( http://cars.potn.com/images/imkahnrsr.jpg )

Cant fookin wait! Performance is better than a Cinq too, 0-60 in 13 secs and 105mph top end. Dont know about the handling or anything but my mate wupped me in his a few nights ago!

dont get a SRi, please dont :p

have got one as curtosey car

the handling is horrid, nice suspension and thats about it, not half as much fun to drive in, and trust me performance nothing to shout about

Now written off Cinquecento Sporting,
and yes it was indeed Broom Yellow :(

Dont worry, the poppy coral lives on for another car :p

Its an SXI, SRI is a 1400 16v. Im getting a 1200 16v. Not fussed about performance anyway, insurance is sky high still, I get a years free insurance and the first service is free. I need to get a new car, Corsa is the most viable one, theres no other car out there within my price range thats as well spec'd. maybe Punto is but I dont trust it to work 100% of the time, I've lost all my faith in Italian motors.

I've had my Cinq about 8 months and so far:

A service,
Clutch plate bent,
Head gasket went,
Radiator went,
washer bottle leaked,
heatshield needed taking off,
rear suspension mounts went,
overheated twice,
etc... etc...

all this has cost me... £980 in EIGHT months! Cant aford to keep it, mpg is crap for a 1.1 too. I need to get a new car with some warrenty, in 3 years I'll just sell my car and hopefully start to get something with a bit of whizz, like a Scooby, at least then I will be able to afford to run a turbo including maintaining it.

I'll be sad to see the car go but I'll be too excited about driving a new car and having something that I dont have to worry about working or not!! :)

Having being driven in a brand new Corsa SRi 1.8 (0-60 8 secs) i was hooked. I looked into getting one, and the finance i could easily afford, but ultimately the insurance combined with finance meant that i would have been in bad debt for 3 years.

The 1.2 i learned to drive in. Nasty interior, but a solid drive. The 1.4 SRi which hits 60 in 10.5 secs has lower insurance than the 1.8, and looks great in bright red :D I think some Corsas now come with free insurance, so ask about that too.
