does it overheat in town?
does it have coolant?
is it a sporting or s,sx?
has it had any servicing done?

Well a service would be a good start, 10 years neglect

could be simple things such as a clogged airfilter,plugs etc.
i would hope its had a service in that 10 year period!

well pop out the air filter and check it.TBH if your dad can take the plugs out to look then just put new ones on.
also a new filter and probably HT leads.
oh and replace the sludge in the sump that was once oil

Change oil and are filters, if you're thinking which filter

Lol you'll be pleased to know we changed the oil a few days ago so i dont think its sludge just yet, but ill get me dad to do the rest that u said. Thankyou

Bit late to give advice mind as these guys beat me to it

Found out that the map sensor had broken,which causes it mis-send signals (or something like that) but its £63.00 for a new one *groans* - typical!

Be warned, they don't always last too long, probably about 2 or 3 years life in them.

Think I have got a spare MAP sensor lying around for an SX, if you want it?

I live in Kent, so could get it to you or post it.
