Well done! Can't wait to see pics. I am restoring a Mini and it hasn't been touched for three years due to Cinqs and bikes interupting me - I know I have everything for it, but I'm damned if I remember where it all goes...

Glad to hear the heart attack has only slowed you down - keep up the good work. My three year old likes to help drive my Cinq but he's a long way from forest rallying...

David (another old guy in a fast Cinq)

OK piccies time.

Managed to take a couple

Lights now work, front suspension all bolted up with modified crossmember. The ECU is beginning to learn what is expected of it.

It will be going on the rollers for proper setting up eventually, but I need it run in a bit so we can check the tappets before the rollers.

The discs are a bit manky from inactivity, so new ones on the way.

Next installment.

Car running low on fuel, thinks V-power (formerly Optimax) might be an . How to get the fuel from the nearest Shell station to the car.

Directly I thought.

Trade plates on, off to the petrol station. A quickish 6 mile run, not a lot, but there definately feels like there is some power available once fully sorted.

Not a lot of torque 'off cam' .

Didn't get out at the weeked, but had another productive evening last night. ECU is learning a bit at a time and I got the mudflaps and radiator protector on.

New rear discs have arrived, so might get them on this week. New fronts are on their way too.

New front discs arrived and were fitted tonight, Three years of crap had to be removed first. M171 pads fitted, only drove it about the workshop to make sure they were working.

I' think I've got a set of rear pads in stock, if not need to order some. I'll check at the shed tomorrow, then fit the rears.

One of the advantages of using upgraded standard equipment.

Uno Turbo Front discs £20 each

Cento rear discs £20 a pair.

Did you need to do much work to fit the UT discs D?
