Hi all - recently bought myself a metallic Grey Sporting on Ebay - fantastic little car. However, first time I tried to put it into reverse the top of the gearlever came away in my hand (due to some confusion as to exactly where reverse is). Anyway - i subsequently discovered that one of the previous owners had somehow broken the gearknob around the point it engages into the reversing plungery thing and taped it together again loosely with insulating tape. My question is - where do I get a replacement gearknob - been to Fiat and they want in the region of £50 which seems a tad excessive. I don't think any of the chav-bling aftermarket ones will fit due to the fact the sleeve has shattered. just a standard knob is all I want - something that won't wobble around in my hand as i grip it .... hmmm that could be taken the wrong way. Any advice gratefully received.

Also.... any quick and cheapish ways of improving the acceleration - top speed is fine, just 0-60 is a little ummm disappointing.

Cheers

not exactly cheapish there though beau, except the mckrich chip :)

Thought about replacement stick from a scrappers or something?

welcome to the forum also :) pop a thread in the newbie section if you get a chance :) we're a friendly welcoming bunch :D

Hiya - it's a 95 Cinq Sporting with the push down reverse - I'll try to get a pic of the gearknob later. :) And it's nice to find such a friendly forum
