Right... Might have a plan.

I know that the Punto 1242 is an 8v FIRE Engine. The Uno has a 999 FIRE Engine which logically is the same engine...Assuming this is SPi (It should be), It will use a 6F ECU, I should be able to swap this into the Cinq....

Plan is... Get Uno with 999FIRE Unit. Have gearbox and other bits and ECU....(theres an Uno 45 near me for £75!!!) Get Punto 1242 other bits= Result. Costs less than expected?

Slight prob already. The Uno's a point system, but it still seems that the blocks are the same- could I retro fit point ignition onto a newer FIRE unit?

What do yu think?? Its all seems logical to me... Please say i'm thinking right, I need a 1242 soon!!

Cheers

Find a cinq sporting ecu, preferably N-reg or older and use the ECU from that, the N-reg and older versions afaik don't have immobiliser.

To be honest, it'll be a right faff trying to adapt a points system to a 1242

There's a certain satisfaction you get from driving over a Sleeping Policeman
