Hopefully in the next day or two my new suspension kit should arrive. Its springs, shocks, new lock nuts etc

I have a Sei workshop manual and Bushboys great Cinq guide for the front shocks. Is there any sticky for how to do the rears?? I have read a lil about not needing compressors on them (I have them for the fronts :) ), and using a trolley jack instead :S Would a Haynes Cinq manual be more confusing than helpfull??

What else can I expect to need replacing in a worst case scenario when i get it all off? The one I'm aware of is the strut mount, but other than fiat where can i get one? shop4parts only sells for the non sporting model. Will it be obvious if its worn, torn, persihed etc. Or is there more I should be looking out for?

Sorry for so many questions and cheers for any help :)

the rears are covered in haynes,no compressers needed on them.
you may need to cut the bump stops down in the rears, think thats in the stickies.
may be worn bushes but easily done later
may want ot get new bolts as well.
start spraying wd40 or the like into the nuts/bolts now to help loosen them

Yeah, I popped into my local halfords and had a flick through a cinq haynes manual, rears look nice and easy :) Just expected it to be difficult lol.

I'll check the sticky for the bump stop, haven't seen it so far in the stickies I've looked at, but worth a bit more looking :p

I'll get out there now and give it a spray :)

Cheers m8!

PS. Would there be any interest in a rear guide for the stickies?

fair doo's, I'lll do one anyway for the hell of it. I meant to do some on my other jobs but forgot, this time i won't.

Just rang edworthys becuase my order seemed late, they have now sent it today, for arrival tommorrow....break out the spanners woo hoo.

Its the full G-Max kit, 40mm drop on my Sei Sporting.

Just come back in from wd40'ing :D

I noticed on my model the domed plastic strut top covers that most Sei's have are missing, they must have stopped putting them on, FIAT forgot them on my car, or they got lost on a service. Hopefully all will be ok, but i'm guessing if any water has got into the top there the rubber mounts may be a bit worse for wear!
