1. what is an Induction kit? what will it do for the Car? and do i need to tell the insurance peeps?.
2. What the hell is a strut brace thing for?
3. Will adding stuf like sides skirts, spoiler etc add loads to my insurance?. im 30, and pay about 480 a year for insurance at the mo, but ive just completed pass plus ;)

1. An induction kit is a cone filter that either sits on the throttle body (where the air is sucked into the engine) with a cold air feed addded, or on the end of a hose (GSR stylee). What this does is allows the air to flow more freely through the filter so more air can get in. More air, more power :D Also with the addition of a cold air feed, the more dense air, and again the more power. And yes, you should really tell the insurance.

2. A strut brace is there to stop the turrets from flexing under hard braking. It pushes against the other strut, so it either doesnt move, or flexes uniformly at the front. This is good as it keeps the tyres flatter and makes the handling a little more solid. Can induce understeer a bit more though IIRC.

3. It depends solely on the insurance company. Some are only interested in the performance modifications, so you can get away with having body additions without a hike in insurance. You still have to tell them though :p
