been doing a pre mot check for the first time ever

got to the jet washers and nothing, no whirling, no spray.

took the bottle off and found that one plug had three wires going to it  but neither still work

i have done a search so no one shout at me, and the best i found was do a volt test, got a voltmeter dont know how to use it

whats the next step?

Put the bottle back in. Try the rear washer. If it works, swap the pipe and cable over so that the front switch is working the rear washer and spraying water at the front.

Leave the other pump to the rear connected, certainly the water pipe.

That will get you though the MOT, and it will tell you if the wiring is working.

Cheers

just remove both pumps and connect them up to see if any are working? A visit to your local scrappy should sort you out if its only the pumps that are goosed. I just replaced 1 on the missis 99 car from a newer model sei, had to glue up 1 of the connectors as it didnt use the 2 pump system as with the older sei's. Both now working fine, picked up some sports pedal covers, alloy handbrake handle, schumacher badge for the door and a complete tailgate. £40 quid for the lot. Shame the abarth side skirts were nakered otherwise i would have got those also :)
