If i am right in thinking that getting an Induction Kit puts Cold air into your engine therefore getting a increase in power, so why can't i just go out and unplug the warm air feed from my original air box and if i did would i not get a slight increase in power as only cold air would be going to my engine? Obviously the power gain would not be as much as the amount of air going in is less than when using an induction kit but surly there must be a slight gain?

Cheers Sam

Not particularly, as the hot air intake is thermostatically controlled to a certain extent anyway. Plus the airbox design is pretty bad design for power, so by just blocking off the hot air will make no noticable power gain IMO. :)

the hot air feed is there for air intake in colder conditions isn't it?

can't seem to find sense in the standard cinq sporting cold air feed though, it goes into the slam panel, which gets no air
