High all,newbie "gilly" here!
:( i am having a noise problem at the front of my fiat cinquecento:here`s the prob, when i approach a traffic light or junction on a steep hill, and then brake, then disenguage clutch,i keep getting a noise simular to a "rusty" old fan coming to a slow stop!then when i set off again it sounds like cranking up an engine using the old type of cranking handle. However when i reach a speed of say 20 to 30 mpg the noise goes away, and it doesn`t appear again the rest of the day.It seem more prevelent when the car has been "idle" overnight.i am sorry i can`t be more discriptive, but i am a little worried,my m.o.t is due end of the month!Any advise would be much appreciated, kind regards,Jeff.

Sounds very odd but associated with the clutch. Maybe its not disengaging fully :S

Try adjusting it anyway, its really easy :) In the engine bay, pasasnger side near the front is a threded rod, with a plastic nut that you can turn by hand. Give it a good 5 or 6 turns, not sure which way. This will adjust the clutch and your biting point, but may help with the problem?
