this was my first atempt using filler and im pleased with the result its not that hard to use it just takes time and effet to get the finish:)

DID YOU TAKE ALL THE PAINT OFF BEFORE YOU STARTED AS IF YOU DIDN'T THE THE FILLER WILL JUST POP OUT OVER TIME OOOOHHHHH (n)

That doesn't look quite right. As someone else has pointed out it's bad practice to filler over paint. Also you have very defined edges to the filler, it needs to be feathered out at the edges.

Once you put some primer on get a rattle can of dark paint and guide coat it. Literally a very light mist coat of paint. It'll look like its been spattered with paint. Then get a block and some 600 grade wet and dry and lightly dry sand it. That will show you any islands you have, the guide coat will reman in the low spots. Remember paint is about preparation, it will NOT hide any imperfections, it just provides the colour.

you've got the right idea mate.. but if you didnt take it back to bare metal get it out and do it again. word from the wise fillerworks allot harder than painting. be real. (y)

Glad someone mentioned this. If you havnt already done this, yor filler is too weak and when you finally get it looking nice, the filler will crack and fall out takign your paint with it = wasted effort. Get the filler out, and smack the holes in a little to give the filler some more surface area. Only sand with a block and continue until you cannot feel any change in texture after using 500 grit. 2k primer, flat back and top cot and laquer follow. You will get a poor finish if you spray it yourself - hope that helps but seriously, start again.

use glass bridger for the bonnet first then use filler to get it smooth the stuff goes well hard and it will not crack out. like above you will have to use a hammer to dent the panel so there is a lot of surface area
