Hi,
I am looking for some answers about puting 15 inch wheels on my Seicento.
Ive rang around many wheel shops and had the door slammed in my face everytime.

I know what I want but know one seems willing to help. I managed to find one helpful place who says 15 inches can be done with just the rear arches rolling. What I dont want to do is spend in the region of 500 quid on a set of rims which either dont fit or need heavy modification to the car before they fit.

The wheels I had in mind were Team dynamics Monza Rs, the helpful guy rang Team Dynamics and they said they could supply a 15 inch rim to fit but the bodywork would need some modification, but they didnt say what was needed exactly.

Im desperate for input on this, so please help me out here guys.

Many thanks.

Hi,
Yes the car is lowered, 35mm. I wasnt that worried about my post being constructive I just wanted help, in the past I have left the technical stuff to the wheel specailist in the shop. All im asking is what is generally required, modification wise to put 15 inch wheels on my Seicento, which for the record is a 2000 sporting Abarth model.

Sorry if my intensions were unclear in my original post.

you still have not supplied the required info as i said in my 1st post

Sorry i dont your required information.

I know the pcd is 98. Ive put wheels on every car ive owed since I been driving and everytime the guy in the shop takes care of the technical stuff and reads the required info from a book, until now. I just would like some friendly advice from someone whos already riding on 15s.

weeeeeeeeell perhaps since i dont run 15's theres no point in me replying?
however you need the offset of the wheel, your asking questions and not giving the info.
these questions are asked a lot and without the info you cant expect a conclusive answer ,can you?im trying to be helpful and could have posted a

but i didnt.

Ok
Lets try a different angle. Lets say I found a wheel which was 6 inches wide 15 inches diameter had a pcd of 98 and an offset of 30 and required a tyre which was a 195 45 15. Would I need to do body modifications to fit it to my Seicento ?

if the wheels are 6J wide then an offset of 30 is no good, you really want to be working towards an offset of 35mm then you may get away with minimum arch mods, i fyou donot understand offset then it works like this, the larger the offset eth more into the arch teh wheel goes, the lower the more it sticks out, so you have already abarth rims of 14" which have offset 36mm but are 5.5J and have 10mm spacers at the front, so front wheela re runnin gan offset of 26mm.

BUT all this information is already available on this website, in fact i have written this twice today already.

If the wheels over 6J wide you run into bigger problems.

team dynamics are multi stud usually the guy in wheel mania offered me some they are 4x98 and 4x104 or summin stud, and ET35

im rollin on 15's mine are ET15 and 5.5J on 195, 45 rubber.

fronts rub on full lock and rears have started to rub now my boot install is taking place lol

dropping it 35mm soon and rolling my arches so they should sit snug under the arch just hoping lowerng it 35mm wont make my exhaust rub against the road as its very big twin pipe

Cool sounds good, So you think if the arches on the rear are rolled I shouldnt have many worries ? Hopefully I can find a wheel which is 6j max with a 35 offset ?

thanks for the help....boy do i need it.

*Sigh*

Unless you've actually got a cinq or sei with 15s on, why bother making posts?!

My old sei (now Slippy's car) was running 6.5x15s with a 35mm drop. It needed MINIMAL (and I mean MINIMAL) arch work, literally 1mm shaved off the inside of the back arch. The front will scrub on full lock, you can take the wheel arch out obviously but it's not a good idea. From my experience it's easy to put up with.

The myth that 6.5x15s will not go on a seicento is complete rubbish.

Oh and another point, I could have 3 people in the back too.

i take it this is for my benifit?read my posts,it asked for the info and i took the time ot search on the forum and provide a link to a thread.
so what your saying is the arches need modded as i said. at no point was it stated that the 15's wouldnt fit.
so what your saying is if a post does not relate to a car i own in anyway then dont post?

No, it wasn't meant as a dig on you, sorry if it did.

There's quite a negative attitude on here sometimes towards people that maybe don't know as much about cars as some of you lot, it's very very offputting as a new / newish member. Including some members of the moderation team.

I'm just stating that from personal experience they DO fit on a sei, with very very minor modifications. You need to find the right garage that will help you out and not just fit them and tell you to f-off.

Luckily my garage sorted out any issues I had with the wheels and fitted them perfectly.
