whats the best exhuast to get thats not loud but sounds sportie, even if its just a clip on?

everyone has varied tastes and suggestions, a search for what is about may be better (y)

alernatively you can get a custom one done and have it tuned to any sound you want in certain exhaust centres (y)

I'd say custom... Quiet enough around town to be discrete and not getting pulled over by the police, but give it some right foot and mmmmm italian grunt!

again depends where you go.

Ring up your local places and get some qoutes.

If you are willing to travel MIJ performance in Birmingham are my recommendation

my old car (slippy's car now) i paid 140 for a janspeed backbox, then about another 40-50 quid to have the centre pipe taken off and replaced with a solid bit of piping (so removing centre silencer). and it sounds something like this

right click > save as

(please ignore my gay little 'hello' half way through, i think some old woman was doing something silly on the side of the road. pps, no speed limits were broken)

the first bit i was not speeding.

the second bit... where i put my foot down... was up a hill with a very steep incline. i was probably doing 20-25 tops as i pulled up there.

anyway, i'm not a dangerous driver by any means, that video was posted for the thread creator to hear the sound of my old exhaust.

custom ive just had mine done last week

had a 2" bore from cat back, custom made rectangular back box and a 3" exit

looks sweet and sounds even better!

go for a powerflow mate, i know there is lots of talk about their dodgy workmanship, but i got one done from cat back. since had it up on my ramp, and all the welds are spot on, sounds really throaty when you give it some right foot, but just nice when your driving normally.

if you dont want it to be too loud, just go for a back box. if you get a full system tehy will probably just weld a straight pipe from the cat, removing all the silencers - making it louder.
