What and i supposed to do with the rubbers on the sei mirrors when fitting the mirrors to a cinq? ive seen pics but nothing close enough to see how its been done.

The sei rubbers dont attatch to the cinq base plate and stretching the cinq rubbers onto the sei mirrors works but looks daft!

i read on a post i searched for saying that you put the cinq rubbers under the sei rubbers but that still doesnt solve the problem of the sei rubber not being attatched to the base plates

all i did was left the cinq rubber on underneath the sei one.the sei one doesnt close on the cinq plate but as its black rubber underneath you dont see it plus it helps to hold the sei rubber over.
dont know what others did

ive not painted mine so had planned to remove them and do a picture guide

yeah thats what i read on the post i mentioned but on some peoples conversions it looks tight onto the baseplate but never any mention of how it was done.

suppose it does seem quite tight on mine,dont really notice it TBH.
you could glue it but i was still unsure as to whether i was keeping them.

if oyu want i'll take a close pic tomorrow

nah dont worry about it mate! Ive gotta take the mirrors off to spray em anyway so ill just try it when i put em back on

yup i was the same once i removed them.i had kind off thought the rubbers would fit but leaving the cinq rubbers on worked for me

on the cinq base plates you screw in short screws to clip the Sei rubber boot over, this means the rubber is held tight on the base plate and stops water ingress.

Never thought about using screws. but ital make the rubber uneven wont look good.

anyone know how turbocinqi did it, his looks top notch, even up close

the origial mount is only held in parts so i would see that screw heads would work.especailly the flat wide headed ones

actually i just had a thought, the sei rubber isnt circular anyay so should be ok using the screw idea. hmmmmmm
