im just wondering wheres the best places for jacking and axle stands on a seicento. i found 4 little round plates by each of the wheels and used them for jacking and put the axle stands on the metal sills but that seemed to bend the sills. anyone got any better suggestions?

is there any specific points of the body work you should avoid? i know not to trap brake lines and not use the petrol tank or any of the suspension. is there anywhere else to avoid to not cause damage?

Depends what you want to jack up!

For the whole front use a block of wood and a jack under the sump and put the axle stands under the "boxes by the sills" -- which are the jacking points.

For the back, either use the rear beam (if you've a jack that will reach) or the spring mounts, putting the stand/stands under the jacking points. If you've got a jack -- probably a bottle jack -- you can jack the rear by the jacking points and put the stands on the triangular section where the main floor bends up.

For one side at the front, put the jack at the anti-roll bar to suspension mount, like the man says.

I jack the car up at the little plates as you call them then I place my axle stands on the front under the wishbones and just in front of the rear wheels.
