I thinking of taking a wire brush and some hammerite to my calipers on my yellow seicento.

On my old Polo I did them red and I thought they looked pretty nice.

Just asking you guys and gals your opinion on this. I reckon yellow would definitely be too much, but blue to match the strip would be a better more subtle option.

I painted my GT calipers red yesterday, think it looks so much better..

tbh if someone thinks im a chav because of my car then they can speak to me, then they will know im definately not.. so im not really bothered what people think.. dont judge a book by its cover and all that

i had all my calipers painted on all my cars, and i know this sounds sad but all the big sports cars have painted calipers... so its kinda a finishing touch lol..

anyway.. i think blue would look really nice on a yellow car, but thats in my opinion

I like painted callipers, but painted drums are just a big no no, only do those black.

Do not use Hammer Right it is not meant for the job, buy proper brake paint, the best I've used is Folia Tec, its a complete kit with brake cleaner and a two pack paint and harder kit, last for years is brake fluid, brake dust, oil resistant etc which other paints are not. When it hardens its like an epoxy finish, i did a R5GTT nearly 8 years ago and my mate still gets compliments on them now, as he owns the car.

I know my local Halfords have it but its not kept with other paints whereas there own brake paint is, its not as good, its kept with all the grill mesh and air filters and stuff and costs about £20, but you pays your monay and makes your choices.

Aaron.

there is or was a very good sticky in the stilo section about painting brake calipers

I'm tempted to paint my calipers red, would look good behind the rims, if you think it'll look better, do it! its about personal taste, not other peoples' criticism
