the rear washer hasnt been working since ive had my cinq. today my cinq came back from being repaired so im happy, but i thought id do a few jobs on it like hammerite in the rust spots inside the boot.

anyways i had the bonnet open and tried the rear washer and the motor is working but i realised the washer water is squirting out of a pipe in the front of the bonnet through a little hole!! does anyone no what i mean? and how i can fix it?

cheers kris

if you open the bonnet then look left at where you fill the water bottle up?

then theres two pipes comming out of there one of the pipes runs to the right across the front of the bonnet where the catch thingy is that holds the bonnet closed ???

Sounds like the pipe for the rear is burst somewhere, follow the pipes from the hole in the inner wing and find the leak and replace the pipe.

or the pipe could have slipped off the little plastic t like things....check right at the front of the bonnet(above rad)the hose came off mine....i just slipped it back on and it was sorted

Mine has a little copperish pipe that came loose next to the passingers side headlight, thought it was spirting out a light lol.

Check that?

Hi, did you ever get this sorted, I think I know EXACTLY what you are talking about but I dont know how to fix, pumps for washers are working but there is a little valve thingy with a tiny hole in the rear washer pipe (just under the bonnet near the bottle) and when I press the stalk water shoots out of this and then just continues dripping-how did you get yours fixed?

If the tube has a hole you need a scapel or razor blade and replacement hose, and additional non return valve, or back to back joining union.

The old hose needs to be cut carefully and a new bit inserted. The rubber of the old hose may be easy to damage. Use washing up liquid to more easily insert a union.
