Hi.

I've been having a problem with my xreg seicento s for the last couple of weeks. When driving suddenly the engine has been starved of fuel, when I stopped the engine ran at idle for 2 or 3 minutes before stopping all together. After 10 minutes or so I started the engine again and was able to drive for a few minutes untill the same happened again.

Last year (maybe about 6 months ago) the fuel pump gave up totaly and was replaced, but I'm a bit dubious about the mechanic he seemed a bit dodgy and maybe he replaced it with a second hand unit, instead of a new one like I payed for.

My dad suggested replacing the fuel filter, but I've read that it is probably built into the fuel pump anyway.

Any suggestions or advice?

Was sure the fuel filter were underneath the car and nothing to do with the pump.

Dunno what could be causing it though but Sei's with fueling issues seems to be getting common these days.

I'm sure the filter is under the car too. A silver canister.

Cool, maybe it was about the panda I read that. I'll go stick my head under again.

Definately under the car, about half a foot infront of the tank biased towards the drivers side

Thanks, I think I've found it but its pretty dark outside and my torch is running out. ;)
